Dr. Georgiana Cullen-Kerney
Hi! I’m Dr. Georgiana Cullen-Kerney (she/her). Feel free to call me Dr. George, or Dr. G!
My philosophy:
Our bodies have an inner wisdom and the innate ability to heal. My job is to reflect that inner healer back to you by listening, connecting and giving you tools to support you. I believe in collaborating with you to come up with the best plan of action so you can meet your health goals in body, mind, and spirit.
My background:
I always knew I wanted to help people from an early age. Even as a child, I didn’t feel listened to by my doctor. I wanted to change things and follow the beat of my own drum. I deeply suffered in my teens from illness and plant medicine saved my life; along with family support. At that time, my interest in alternative and complementary medicine was born. I found myself working in natural food stores, learning about supplements, herbal plant medicines, nutrition, and health. This was my pathway forward.
I hold a BA from the Ohio State University, and my Doctorate in Naturopathic medicine and Masters in Chinese Acupuncture from the National University of Natural Medicine. I completed a certification in homeopathy through a 2 year training from the New England School of Homeopathy. At the same time, I interned as a hydrotherapist at Providence Hospital’s Integrative Oncology Center.
I’ve worked for professional companies New Chapter & Herb Pharm; traveling extensively all over the country teaching and educating retailers, health professionals, physicians, functional medicine doctors, and herbalists. I’ve volunteered at Boys & Girls Club as well as in Drug & Alcohol recovery centers in Portland & Beaverton, OR.
Some of my close mentors include Paul Stamets, Paul Schulick, Christopher Hobbs, Cascade Anderson Geller, Dr. Dick Thom, and Dr. Edie Vickers.
Most recently, I was a part of the nation’s first graduating class through InnerTrek, an Oregon Psilocybin facilitator training program. I went beyond the curriculum and trained with Dr. Erica Zelfand in Mexico, as well as receiving advanced facilitation training.
